Gout is an OOOOLD diesese. It has been around ever since man started eating fatty foods such as meat and fish. It used to be know as the diesese of kings as it usually only attacked rich people. Below I am going to talk about the causes of gout and how you can get rid of the pain that comes along with this terrible affliction.
Back in those days people could not figure out why it only attacked the wealthy but now we know that it was due to their protein rich diet. In this article I am going to advise you on some of the foods that you should avoid if you want to get rid of gout pain forever.
List of Foods to Avoid if You Want to Get Rid of Gout Pain
1. Anchovies and other seafoods
2. Roe (fish eggs) - for those that can afford them.
3. Fish such as herring and mackerel. These are the highest purine seafoods available
4. Sardines.
5. Scallops and mussels.
6. Game meats, like goose, duck, and partridge.
7. Organ meats: brains, heart, kidney, liver, and sweetbreads. Ok so liver might be the only one you will eat from this list but just thought I'd add in the rest.
8. Meat extracts such as Oxo and Bovril.
9. Mincemeat and other red meats.
10. Broth, bouillon, and consomme.
11. Gravy is a meat extract but I thought I better add it on it's own as it is just so commonly eaten where I am from.
12. Yeast taken in the form of a supplement or when eaten in breads and alcoholic drinks.
Below I am going to list a few homemade gout cure that WILL help you get rid of gout pain.
1. Take 1,500 mg of vitamin C daily. This has been shown to lower uric acid levels in the body and therefore can help to get rid of your gout.
2. Drink a glass of black cherry juice daily. Black cherry juice is packed full of anti-oxidents and these also help to get rid of uric acid levels in the body.
3. Baking Soda - Mix 1 small teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water 2-3 times daily. This is an almost immediate remedy that will help get rid of gout. Please consult your doctor before doing this remedy as it can have some side effects on certain people.
4. Avoid high purine foods like the ones listed above. They will increase your uric acid levels.
5. Stay away from the booze. Alcohol is a divil for the reason you will get gout.
